Andrea Mala du Mont was a dedicated member of our Tara-Ling Buddhist group here in Corvallis, Oregon for three years. Her compassion and commitment to service have touched many lives, both within our community and beyond. After leaving Corvallis, Andrea traveled extensively, deepening her study of Dharma and natural healing, and volunteering in projects that helped the less fortunate gain access to healthy food. She worked with local farmers and organizations like VeggieVanGo in Vermont, connecting producers with food banks and providers to ensure that those in need received nourishing meals.

Recently, while traveling in Panama, Andrea noticed a rash on her ankle that quickly developed into a severe case of Cellulitis, a dangerous bacterial skin infection. The infection has left her unable to walk and in urgent need of medical care. On top of this, Andrea has a faulty heart valve and needs to see a cardiologist. With very limited health insurance and no family or close friends to support her, she is facing these overwhelming challenges alone and without the resources she needs to recover.

Andrea has always given so much to others, and now she needs our help. The funds raised will go directly toward her medical treatments, surgeries, a safe place to stay during her recovery, and assistance with daily tasks and transportation. Your support will also help her access the cardiology care she urgently needs.
