Help Andrea Fight for Healing from Craniocervical Instability (Type 3B CCI)

My Story

My name is Andrea, and I have proudly served my community as a Police Officer for the past 9 years. In 2023, my life changed forever after an on-duty car accident left me with lasting injuries. I was later diagnosed with Type 3B Craniocervical Instability (CCI) — a rare and debilitating condition where the ligaments and joints that support the skull and neck no longer function properly.

Because of this, I’ve had to step away from my patrol duties and move into a desk role within my department. While I remain dedicated to serving and considered full duty, my dream career on the streets — protecting and connecting directly with my community — has been cut short.

⸻

⚠️ How CCI Affects Me

Living with CCI means daily struggles that many can’t see:
• Dizziness & Vertigo that make standing or moving normally a challenge though I am still mobile.
• Chronic Headaches & Neck Pain that interfere with work, rest, and sleep.
• Neurological Symptoms such as blurred vision, weakness, and pre syncope though I’ve been lucky to have never fainted.
• Limited Mobility & Energy that make even basic daily tasks difficult. I am extremely exhausted 24/7.

This condition doesn’t just affect my work — it has taken a toll on my independence, quality of life, and future.

⸻

What I Need

There is hope, but it comes at a cost. Specialized treatments, such as receiving 2-3 PICL (Percutaneous Implantation of Collagen Ligament Augmentation), offer the chance to restore stability and improve my condition. These procedures are available at the Centeno-Schultz Clinic in Denver, Colorado — one of the few places in the world offering advanced care for CCI. These treatments are extremely costly. Each treatment is roughly 15k.

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover these specialized treatments, travel, or recovery expenses. That’s why I am reaching out for help.

⸻

How You Can Help

Your generosity will go directly toward:
• Medical procedures and follow-up care
• Travel to out-of-state specialists
• Recovery and rehabilitation expenses

Every single contribution — no matter the size — brings me closer to healing and stability.

❤️ Thank You

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading my story, sharing, and supporting me on this journey. Your kindness means the world to me, and I couldn’t do this without you.

Please consider donating or sharing my GoFundMe. Together, we can bring hope and healing back into my life.
