Andrea, my sister, has always been a beacon of strength and kindness in our family. She has been in remission for 17 years from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and throughout her life, she has faced more health challenges than most people could imagine. Despite everything, Andrea has remained resilient, always putting others before herself and offering a helping hand whenever she could.

Recently, Andrea was diagnosed with Stage one, Level 3 Breast cancer. She is scheduled for surgery on December 15, followed by four weeks of radiation. The news has been overwhelming, and the financial burden is already weighing heavily on her. Her co-pays are in the thousands, and she is facing a growing stack of medical bills. On top of that, Andrea will need to purchase essentials for her recovery, like special bras for after surgery, and she will be missing some unpaid time from work. The stress of these expenses is making an already difficult time even harder.
