Hi, I’m Bridgette Maloney and am not only a friend but was a co worker of Andrea’s for 12 years.

A month ago Andrea our friend and fellow Bryn Mawr Hospital co worker of 36 years was hospitalized for complications as a result of her Acute Lung Cancer. Andrea was in the process of working with the hospital on an inpatient nursing home placement for hospice. Last week she was approached by hospital officials that her Medicare benefits were dropped, as a result she has no medical coverage.

The hospital proceeded with a discharge to home plan which would require medications, oxygen around the clock, and continuous nursing intervention to drain her pleurevac every two days to alleviate the fluid on the right side of her lung. She is literally only working off her right lung. Her left side is needless to say not operating any more. These services are not due to the termination of her benefits.

Andrea has always been proud, independent, self reliant person who finds herself now in need of your financial support as she faces the challenges ahead.
