Andrea and Barry have always been pillars of their community, serving at their local church and supporting those around them. They are the first to bring a homemade meal when life is tough for their friends or family, show up to help others move, and Barry ministers to young men through basketball. They are loving parents to their three beautiful children and anyone that has the honor of knowing them sees the light of Jesus in all they do. Andrea, a dedicated kindergarten teacher, is now facing the toughest battle of her life—Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma. Last week, she underwent a craniotomy to treat a brain tumor, and this week Barry broke his femur during an accident playing basketball.
On top of Andrea’s health challenges, Barry is now unable to drive as he recovers from surgery. They are still making frequent trips from San Antonio to MD Anderson in Houston for Andrea’s treatments as well. This has made things even more difficult, as both are now dealing with medical issues and the financial strain of being out of work. Despite everything, Andrea and Barry have remained humble and haven’t asked for help, but with Barry’s injury, the need for support has grown.
Funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward medical bills, travel expenses, and everyday costs while Andrea and Barry are unable to work. Meals are well taken care of for now, but financial support is what’s needed most right now. All funds are going directly to and only to meet their family's needs. If you’re able to help, your generosity will make a real difference in their lives as they navigate this challenging time. Thank you for supporting Andrea and Barry.
Community, this is our place to shine and rally with this local family in need. Let’s love this sweet family well and help in their time of need!
