My name is Lauren Slade and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of Andrea Stewart.

Andrea has been my fellow nurse in the Heart Center at Strong Memorial Hospital for many years. Andrea has a passion for cardiology and, more importantly, for helping people. She has consistently gone above and beyond to create deep personal bonds with her patients and find ways to make them more comfortable while hospitalized.

Along the way, she met Michael Marvin, aka Marv, and the two have worked side-by-side ever since. Marv had a similar gift for connecting with his patients and quickly earning their trust and gratitude. Andrea and Marv not only made an impact on their patients, but also with their coworkers. They were both eager to step up and help their peers with any task, no matter how big or small, without hesitation.

Together, in 2024, Andrea and Marv welcomed a beautiful baby girl into this world. That little girl became the little sister to Andrea's older daughter, Quinn.

Sadly, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, Marv unexpectedly passed away. He leaves behind many loved ones and his absence will be felt throughout the halls of the Heart Center at Strong. Please consider donating to help Andrea and her girls with the expenses associated with Marv's passing and take some of the financial strain off their plate as they mourn the loss of Marv.
