Hi everyone,

I'm Andrea Acono, a Senior in the Communications and Organizational Studies program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). I have been given an incredible opportunity to participate in a short-term winter study aboard program in India! It has been a privilege to be one of the few to be selected to go on this trip.

This program will explore and learn more about India, as I believe gaining a deeper understanding of its culture and the complex communication surrounding conservation. My academic growth aligns directly with the mission, and I'm excited to begin my research.

The total cost is $4,000. This will cover travel, visa, lodging, fees, and tuition. I am working on saving money, but many expenses on top of one another make my financial gap still large.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps me get one step closer to this essential academic and personal journey. I am extremely grateful for your support and help with my education. I can't wait to share my travel journey with you all.
