Dear friends, family and community,
I am a 5th grader at McArthur Elementary School and have been nominated to represent my school and community at The Juniors National Young Leaders Conference in Maryland. By attending The Juniors National Young Leaders Conference, I will join other motivated students from around the country for an experiential Leadership program. I have enclosed a sample of our itinerary for your review.
As you can see, this will be a powerful experience, enabling me to interact with respected professionals in various fields while building relationships with students who will be my future colleagues. Attending this program will allow me to further my interest in politics and history and reach my career goals of becoming a lawyer. I maintain a 3.8 gpa and am involved in leadership roles and the gifted program and was recently awarded by being asked to attend The Juniors National Young Leaders Conference.
Imagine if you had been given this opportunity for a life-changing experience when you were in school and were unable to participate for lack of funds—that is why I am writing to you today. My participation in the program depends on whether I can raise $6500.00 in sponsorships. My mom is investing every dollar she can of her own money to make sure I don’t miss out on such an amazing opportunity to be able to learn about major historical events that have happened in our country along with learning more about leadership roles to pursue my dreams of a lifelong career as a lawyer.
That leaves me with a balance of $6500.00 which includes my dormitory stay, my flight, meals and the opportunity to see and explore our Capitol, Washington D.C. while learning more about leadership roles and the history behind our country. My tuition must be paid no later than April 20, 2026.
Your support for my sponsorship request would be greatly appreciated. I have enclosed background materials on the program to answer your questions and help you make your decision.
Sincerely,
Andi Lovorn
