Support Andie's Recovery

Donation protected
Hi! If you know Andie, you know that they have been dealing with foot pain due to injuries that took place at their physically demanding job. The workplace injuries were caused by Andie being hit by a car in January of 2024, which was exacerbated by a pallet jack running over their foot in July of 2024. As a result, they have been off of work for 6 months with the benefit of workers compensation. Presently, Andie’s pain and injuries have not been fully remedied. They are still unable to walk regularly & perform normal activities. Nonetheless, a workers comp appointed doctor denied their recent application to continue receiving assistance. This is especially problematic since an ultrasound performed two weeks ago suggested that Andie has potential nerve damage.

Overall, this has caused significant financial stress because they have been making only 60% of their usual pay for the past 6 months due to workers compensation. Now that the workers compensation has been denied, they have no income to go towards the following expenses: over 100k of student debt (private loans, not federal), life costs like rent, groceries, doctors appointments, and physical therapy.

They have been actively looking for jobs daily that do not require tasks that would negatively affect the healing of their foot. Although they have been interviewing, they have received no offers.

Naturally, Andie would prefer other folks to prioritize more pressing issues such as the g3nocid3 in P@l3stin3, undocumented immigrants in need of legal support, black and brown trans people in need, unhoused people, and other folks who don’t have any level of support. We have created a list of links to relevant organizations that this site will not let us include, please message any of us, or email cecefoley22 at gmail dot com for those links.

Nonetheless, we don’t want financial strain to fall only on Andie. Andie does have some level of support, but that support is very limited, and it is not enough to cover their life expenses for an extended period of time.

Any help would be very very appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our beloved friend.
