My dear friend Anderson and his beautiful family have spent the past several years living and working overseas, building a life filled with kindness, generosity, and love for their community.

In May of this year, Anderson underwent what was supposed to be a routine surgery. While the procedure itself went well, unexpected complications during recovery left him in a coma — a devastating turn that changed everything in an instant.

Since then, Anderson has been fighting for his life. His wife and child have returned to the United States to be by his side, leaving behind their jobs, schools, and the home they built abroad. They’ve faced months of uncertainty, shuffling between hospitals and specialists, all while managing mounting medical bills that far exceed what insurance can cover.

Anderson is one of the most selfless and caring people I have ever known — the kind of person who shows up for everyone else without hesitation. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
