Support Anders' Cancer Treatment

On November 6, 2024, Anders and Emma welcomed Casey and Callahan into their family. These past six months have been so sweet and such a special time together. As parents of three under three, they certainly have their hands full and they wouldn't have it any other way!

In the middle of this sweet season of life, Anders received some shocking news: He has cancer. On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, he underwent a surgery to remove 3 tumors. He is recovering well from surgery and feels hopeful about the diagnosis. The tumor was confined to a small area, but had lymphovascular invasion, placing it at Stage pT2. The pathology showed clean surgical margins, which is a good sign. The survival rate is excellent (>95%) with proper treatment. Recurrence is possible, but manageable if closely monitored and treated.

Next week, Anders will go in for a CT scan and a chest X-ray to determine if the cancer has spread to other areas. This information will help his medical team develop a treatment plan, which may include chemotherapy and radiation. The weeks, months, and years that follow will be marked by childhood milestones, family birthdays, and anniversaries, as well as regular blood work, scans, X-rays, and appointments.

It will give Anders the opportunity to focus on healing, allow Emma and Anders the ability to focus on their three wonderful children, and help foster hope of making a full recovery—without the added stress of financial hardship.
