Help Us Build Southampton’s First Dedicated Girls’ Madrasah — Invest in the hereafter - Build a Legacy for Generations

Madrasah Imaam Yusuf in Southampton, UK is raising funds to secure a permanent property for the first dedicated girls’ madrasah of its kind in the area.

Alhamdulillah 3 classes are already running in 2 shops and student numbers are growing, but a larger, stable space is urgently needed.

The property target is £600,000, and support is requested through Lillah donations or Qardh Hasanah (interest-free loans) — a beautiful opportunity for ongoing sadaqah jariyah.

NOTE: The Alimiyyah course offered at the madrasah is an advanced Islamic studies program where students learn Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, Tafseer, Aqeedah and Arabic in depth, training them to become qualified teachers and scholars (Alimah).

We are now taking the next step — and we need your help.

Our Vision

We aim to secure a permanent property to establish Southampton’s first dedicated girls’ madrasah and women’s learning centre — a place that will serve generations to come.

This centre will provide:

• Maktab for young girls and teens

• Hifdh classes for girls and women

• Alimiyyah studies (part-time)

• Tajweed, Fiqh, Seerah and Tafseer classes

• Arabic language learning

• Tarbiyah and personal development sessions

• Workshops for Hajj, Umrah and essential Islamic knowledge

• Weekly Taleem circles for sisters

• Community education projects

This is more than a building — it is a centre for faith, knowledge, identity, and growth.

Our daughters deserve access to quality Islamic education close to home — in a dedicated, safe, and properly structured environment.

Every class taught here becomes:

• Ongoing charity

• Beneficial knowledge

• A reward that continues long after we are gone

The Prophet ﷺ taught that when a person passes away, their deeds continue through ongoing charity and beneficial knowledge. This project is exactly that — a Sadaqah Jariyah opportunity.

The Property Goal

To secure a suitable permanent property, we need to raise:

£600,000

To make this achievable, we are asking:

• 1,200 people to give £500

or

• 600 people to give £1,000

or any amount you can give

We also welcome Qardh Hasanah — interest-free loans returned in full — for those who wish to support in this way.
