Dear Family and Friends,
My name is Kerestin, and I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart on behalf of my sister Tanya—who is fighting for her life after a sudden cardiac arrest.
On Easter 4/5/26, Tanya’s son Daniel heard a loud thud and rushed into her room to find his mom unresponsive. Her heart had stopped. In that terrifying moment, Daniel bravely called 911, and it took 15 long minutes to revive her. Since then, Tanya has been intubated and sedated at ST JAMES hospital in butte Montana due to the risk of brain damage. The doctors still don’t know what caused the cardiac arrest or the full extent of any damage.
For days she was completely unresponsive… until God began to move in powerful ways. Our sister Vita was praying over FaceTime when Tanya suddenly raised her hands and started crying. When my husband and I went to Montana and saw her in person, she responded to our voices—she opened her eyes and tried to locate both her brother and me. We believe with all our hearts that Tanya can hear us. We can see it in her eyes—she is there, fighting to come back to us. Her heart rate would rise when we first spoke, then calm and drop the moment we prayed over her. We witnessed this multiple times, and it gives us so much hope.
We still don’t know how severe any brain damage may be, but we have seen real, though minimal, improvement in just a few short days. We know our God is the Great Healer, and no doctor’s report will ever outweigh the miracles we have already witnessed.
Tanya has always been the strong, loving provider for her family. Daniel has been through so much, and Tanya was not only his mom but also his best friend and everything to him. He is fully dependent on her for everything. She also lived close to her daughter and helped support her as much as she could. Right now, Tanya is unable to work or care for them, leaving Daniel and the family facing real hardship as they wait for her to recover and come home.
We are asking for your help through powerful prayer and financial support. The medical bills are already mounting, and Daniel needs help with his apartment and daily needs while he waits for his mom. Any gift you can give will go directly toward her care, rehabilitation, and keeping the family stable during this difficult time.
Please pray with us for Tanya’s full and complete healing. Share this page with anyone who loves our family. We believe she can hear us, and we are standing in faith together as one accord, trusting the Holy Spirit to move in a mighty way. We know it wasn’t by chance she was brought back on resurrection Sunday, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, love, and support. We know miracles are still coming.
With faith and gratitude,
Love Kerestin and Gennady and the entire Kozodoy Family.
