Support and Prayers for Dominick

On the night of March 22, 2020 Dominick was rushed to the hospital.  His family was given the terrible news that he needed to be placed on life support and had severe brain damage.  Dominick is a 23 year old sweet and loving son and brother. He is loved by all of his family members and everyone that knows him.  Dominick was in the ICU for several days, breathing through the help of a ventilator. Because of the current situation we are living with the COVID19 virus, the doctors felt it would be best to perform a procedure to get him off the respirator and transferred to another facility that specializes in his current medical needs as quickly as possible in order to prevent possible infection.  Dominick had a procedure called a tracheostomy in which a breathing tube was placed in his neck and a feeding tube was also placed in order to assist him in breathing without the use of a ventilator and to be given nutrients. Unfortunately, Dominick has not been able to be transferred yet. During his first few nights in the ICU he suffered several seizures and also contracted pneumonia.  Doctors administered antibiotics to treat the pneumonia and were able to stabilize his seizures. He is doing better, but is not completely stable enough to be transferred. We are very thankful for the doctors and nurses tending to the complications he has had and trying their best to help him have a successful recovery. The road to recovery is a long one. We have to take it day by day.  We pray and believe that Dominick will overcome this difficult time. We have set up this GoFundMe to help aid medical care Dominick needs at this time.
