Support and Prayers for Colton Ogden and family.

Hello my name is Kourtney and I’m writing this on behalf of my Auntie Lori Ogden and son Colton. Lori has devoted her life to being Colton’s full time caregiver. Colton has struggled with debilitating seizures since he was 17 months and was diagnosed with Lennox Gastaut. This disorder has reaped havoc on Colton’s brain causing developmental delays and extreme stress on his body. Through the years Colton has experienced many health scares which have resulted in lengthy hospital stays. This last stay has been by far the hardest. He had been at CMRC for the last two weeks in a medical induced coma to help his brain rest. Prior to being placed in the coma his seizures were violent and relentless occurring every few minutes. CRMC intubated him and placed him in the medical induced coma, unfortunately Colton is still seizing every few minutes even though they aren’t always visible. It was decided that Colton would receive better care at UCSF. On Sunday Colton was medically transported to San Francisco . Colton is currently in Critical Care with his devoted mama by his side.
Unfortunately this holiday season will look different for the Ogden family. Lori is not currently receiving an income due to Colton being hospitalized, this has cause a great financial burden. The hospital doesn’t have a hotel nearby so Lori is having to uber back and forth from the hospital to the hotel multiple times a day.
We have faith that Colton will bounce back like he always does, with his beautiful blue eyes and continuous smile.
My auntie has been so much more than an aunt, she has been my example on how to “advocate like a mother”. Through it all she remains strong and relies on God to get them through! She knows her son and how resilient he is and refuses to give up!
I would always say to her, “I have no idea how you do it, how you stay so strong” and her response was you have no choice, you will do what ever you can for your kids. I admire her, and when times get rough I remember you have no choice you will do what ever you can for your kids!

We know times are tough, and with the holiday season in full swing finances can be tight. We humbly ask that if you are able please consider donating to help ease their financial burden. If you are unable to support financially, we ask that you please send your prayers and consider sharing this post.

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me”
Psalm 23:4
