Hi Everyone! This is Maddie Peddy, sister of Sam and Julia.

I'm writing on their behalf to update anyone and everyone on the beautiful story that is already unfolding for their little miracle boy, Cameron.

Cameron was born 12/22/25, 6 lbs 15oz. I know I'm biased, but he is truly the most precious and sweet babe. Midway through Julia's pregnancy with Cameron, it was discovered that he has a very rare heart condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS). This means that Cameron will have to undergo two major heart surgeries within the first year of his life, with the first one being scheduled for next week. A third surgery is typically needed around the age of 3-4.

Throughout the very difficult process of seeing many specialists, running tests, and going to endless appointments, Sam and Julia were steadfast in knowing their deep and strong love for their third baby boy. With so much anticipation, excitement, and nerves, Cameron is finally here! He is already such a resilient little warrior and is fighting with so much strength.

Julia delivered him like the total champion of a woman she is, and she is recovering while having to adapt to the very overwhelming environment of the NICU and surrendering to the process. It is so much to take in to say the least, but we know where Cameron gets much of his strength from after witnessing her and Sam's perseverance throughout this whole process.

They have an incredible team of nurses, doctors, OT's/PT's, and staff that are confident and taking amazing care of Cameron.

Sam and Julia will be in the hospital with Cameron for the next several months. Although this will be a very long and difficult journey, they are so blessed and so loved by all and have already witnessed profound gifts through the short 48 hours that Cameron has been here.

As Julia will be staying with Cameron, Sam will go back and forth between Tucson and Phoenix Children's where Cameron will receive care, as well as both of them caring and looking after their other two amazing boys. Going from a two income to a single income home has it's challenges, as well as meeting their deductible on Cameron's medical bills. I am humbly asking our community to come together and love on my wonderful brother and his incredible family any way that feels right to you. Feel free to share this as well.

We see and are so appreciative of how Cameron's story has already been spread far and wide. As they have been reminded, they truly have an army behind them in this. We are so grateful.

Things to pray for:

-That Cameron would continue getting bigger and stronger to prepare for his surgery next week/for the safety and success of his surgery

-That he would be guarded against any infection

- That he would stay healthy and be protected against any illness

-That Sam, Julia, the boys, my mom and Julia's sister Anni (who help tremendously to watch Cillian and Caden) would all stay healthy and not get sick throughout this flu season.

-The ongoing recovery for Julia and that her and Sam would stay present in hope and peace as they are so in love with their son and want the very best for him.
