Dear friends,
This is not a letter I ever expected to write in my “golden years.” Yet here I am. I believe in the power of community compassion, and the belief that together we can make a tangible difference in the lives of one another.
Over the years, I’ve strived to contribute positively wherever possible, whether as a minister. A activist, through volunteering, helping friends in need, or simply lending an ear to someone who needed to be heard.
For the last few years, I have been working two jobs to supplement my Social Security. I’ve been able to generate enough income to cover basic expenses. However, because of physical challenges, I’ve not been able to pursue the additional work this year.
As many of you know, life has a way of presenting unexpected changes. Circumstances can shift suddenly, and what once seemed certain can be thrown into question. I find myself at one of those crossroads, now facing hurdles that I cannot overcome alone. I need help.
I am seeking help in the form of financial support to cover necessary expenses that have depleted all of my resources. This may include but is not limited to:
- Rent assistance to get up-to-date and have in reserve
- Medical or health related expenses
- Emergency fund for unexpected bills
- Much needed Coaching to increase income from Voice Over.
Please know that I don’t ask for the support lightly, but with the humility, born from realizing that sometimes we all need a helping hand. One of the hardest things for me to do is to ask for help.
If you feel moved to contribute, please know that any donation — large or small— will be deeply appreciated. If you are unable to assist financially, at this time, I would still be grateful for your emotional and prayerful support. If you would, please assist with the following:
- Share my story with friends, family, or on social media to help spread the word
- Offer words of encouragement or personal advice
- Keep me in your thoughts and send positive energy my way
I promise to pay forward the generosity I receive, now and in the future. My hope is that someday I can be there for someone else who is facing their own challenges, just as you have been there for me.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for taking the time to read my letter and consider my request. Your support.— whatever form it takes— means more than words can express.
With gratitude and hope,
Sandra
