Support and Love for the Yabuki Family

Satoshi Yabuki was born in Manhattan, New York on July 29, 2005.  He is the third child and second son of Tetsuyoshi and Mitsuyo Yabuki, who received the Marriage Blessing in 1989 as part of the 1275 Couples Blessing. Satoshi was diagnosed with prune belly syndrome when he was born and when he was five months old, also diagnosed with global developmental delay.

Satoshi was sociable and smiled at everyone since he was little. Satoshi loved to take buses, subways, trains and cars. He also liked watching videos of those. He loved music and danced to it. At school, he went around each classroom as a person in charge of collecting recycled PET bottles. Everyone said, "Satoshi is a happy boy."

Satoshi was hospitalized on June 20, 2020, and was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia. After being hospitalized, he had renal failure and a low heart rate and he went to the Spirit World on July 13, 2020.

We have great compassion and empathy for the Yabuki family who has been well loved in our Unification Church community for decades. Let us please come together to show just a small token of our gratitude and our love for their family in this sorrowful time. This collection will go towards providing a decent Seung Hwa ceremony and burial for our beloved Satoshi.

Satoshi-kun, we love you so much! May you rest peacefully in the arms of God and your Heavenly Ancestors in the Spirit World until we meet again!
