Support and Love for the Donohue Family

The Donohue Family needs our support and love while Ryan awaits a liver donation to save his life. We are creating this in attempting to "rally the troops" and do something to support Donohue Family while they navigate life with a chronic, life-threatening illness. We hope to raise enough to offset both everyday living expenses and also allow them a chance to experience some fun and joy while they negotiate this difficult period of not knowing what the future will hold for their family of 6.

Ryan and his wife Stefanie have been together for over 16 years. They have 4 beautiful children; Sullivan (10), Cassius (10), Billie (8), and Lennon (2). Ryan is an amazing partner, father, and friend. He is truly one of the most patient, compassionate, and loving humans we have ever known. He has always maintained a positive and happy demeanor despite a long history of chronic and painful illnesses. Ryan's liver function has declined rapidly and extensively over the last 2 years, preventing him from being able to work and provide for his family. The pandemic and risks associated with Covid have only increased this financial strain ten-fold and prevented Stefanie from continuing to see her hair-dressing clients.

We have been searching for a living donor from Ryan since the beginning of 2021. Ryan has always been a fighter and overcame aggressive Ulcerative Collitis as a teenager enduring multiple surgeries, including the removal of his large intestine and colon. A few years later, Ryan was diagnosed with primary sclerosis cholangistis, which he has been battling for the last 15 years. This chronic illness has left him in urgent need of a liver transplant, with a living donor being his best chance.

Over 500 people have applied to be a donor for Ryan, yet thus far there has not been the perfect match Ryan needs. His inspiring search for a living donor has been shared extensively and has already spread so much goodness to others; over half a dozen people who weren't a match for Ryan have elected to continue the screening process to become a match for someone else needing for a liver transplant to save their life.

So as their loving and supportive community, we are hoping that we can rally around the Donohue family now and give them support while they navigate these challenging times and the unknown future. We need to continue to share Ryan's search for a living donor far and wide, and also help raise funds for the Donohue's so they can worry less about their finances and more about enjoying their time together as a family.
