Ray Mason-Murillo was in a bike accident on Saturday, September 5 and suffered a traumatic brain injury. No one saw the accident happen, but first responders think no cars were involved. Passersby found him shortly after and called emergency services. Ray is currently at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek in the neurological intensive care unit and is sedated for the time being to let his brain heal. Doctors are caring for him to ensure that he doesn't deteriorate and monitoring his responsiveness to outside stimuli to track his condition.

The overall message from his medical care team is things are uncertain right now and that we will know more over the next week or two. Determining a prognosis for these types of injuries takes time.
