Support and Love for Bill & Liz Auman

We are reaching out to share some heartbreaking news that you may already be aware of. Our parents, Bill and Liz Auman, have lost their home in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. The storm was so devastating that it completely swept it away, leaving nothing behind. This home was more than just a building—it held countless memories, cherished possessions, and family heirlooms.

They are now facing the difficult process of navigating assistance from FEMA and their insurance providers. Unfortunately, they recently found out that their home insurance claim was denied, and while they do have flood insurance, the coverage falls significantly short (about 1/3 the value) of what’s needed to recover from such an immense loss. Their Florida home has also suffered severe and irreparable damage without insurance.

Many in Western North Carolina have been similarly impacted by this disaster, and we know how difficult times are for everyone. If you are in a position to help, we humbly ask that you consider making a donation to support our parents as they begin the long journey to recovery.
