Support and Help Mildred battle Breast Cancer

Hello everyone! Our names are Mitsy Melendez and Bridget Maldonaldo, we are close friends with Mildred Aguayo. Our bond with her and her family has strengthened over the years as we consider Mildred a part of each of our families.

Although you might not know given her upbeat and optimistic nature, Mildred is currently fighting serious health issues. Just two years ago, she became very ill and nothing was promised for her. She spent a total of 6 weeks at MetroHealth Hospital in Cleveland where she was in and out of the intensive care unit fighting for her life. After her release, she continued to fight this battle, as she spent almost 6 months on a feeding tube. Unable to work since then she has been trying to catch up on all of the medical bills from her prolonged stays. If this wasn’t enough, she was recently hit with shocking news.

In late October, Mildred received yet another devastating medical diagnosis, as doctors discovered a rare form of Breast Cancer. Since November, she has endured 2 surgeries and 3 hospital stays due to complications resulting from these surgeries. Mildred is currently back home, yet still facing the turmoil of Cancer, as she receives daily antibiotics through a picc line and will begin her Radiation/Chemo treatment plan once she has completely cleared the complications.

We have created this page in an attempt to lessen the stress that comes from the financial, physical, and mental burden of this dreadful illness. Mildred is known for her strong faith, big smile, and quick humor. Despite such hardships, we know she will continue to persevere due to her strong will and belief in the power of prayer! Our wish is that you join us to support her and her family during this trying time.

Mildred is a strong woman who has been through a lot. We believe that with God cancer is another obstacle she can overcome. Your encouraging texts, prayers, and donations are truly appreciated /

¡Hola a todos! Nuestros nombres son Mitsy Meléndez y Bridget Maldonado, somos amigos cercanos de Mildred Aguayo. Nuestro vínculo con ella y su familia se ha fortalecido a lo largo de los años, ya que consideramos a Mildred como parte de cada una de nuestras familias.

Aunque no lo parezca por su naturaleza optimista Mildred está luchando actualmente contra graves problemas de salud. Hace solo dos años, se enfermó mucho y no se le prometió nada. Pasó un total de 6 semanas en el Hospital MetroHealth de Cleveland, donde estaba dentro y fuera de la unidad de cuidados intensivos luchando por su vida. Después de que le dieron de alta , continuó luchando en esta batalla, ya que pasó casi 6 meses en una sonda de alimentación. Imposibilitada de trabajar desde entonces, ha estado tratando de ponerse al día con todas las facturas médicas de sus estancias prolongadas. Si esto no fuera suficiente, recientemente fue golpeada con noticias impactantes.

A finales de octubre, Mildred recibió otro diagnóstico médico devastador, ya que los médicos descubrieron una rara forma de cáncer de mama. Desde noviembre, ha sido sometida a 2 cirugías y a estado en el hospital 3 veces debido a complicaciones resultantes de estas cirugías. Mildred está actualmente de vuelta en casa, pero todavía se enfrenta a la agitación del cáncer, ya que recibe antibióticos diarios a través de un catéter central colocado por vía periférica( PICC) y comenzará su plan de tratamiento de radiación/quimioterapia una vez que haya eliminado por completo las complicaciones.

Hemos creado esta página en un intento de disminuir el estrés que proviene de la carga financiera, física y mental de esta terrible enfermedad. Mildred es conocida por su fuerte fe, su gran sonrisa y su rápido humor. A pesar de tales dificultades, sabemos que seguirá perseverando debido a su fuerte voluntad y creencia en el poder de la oración! Nuestro deseo es que te unas a nosotros para apoyarla a ella y a su familia durante estos momentos difíciles.

Mildred es una mujer fuerte que ha pasado por muchas cosas. Creemos que con Dios el cáncer es otro obstáculo que puede superar. Sus palabras de aliento, oraciones y donaciones son realmente apreciados.
