It's with a heavy heart that we come have together as a community to support Abhinav's family during this time of profound loss.

Abhinav Bhardwaj, a wonderful friend and colleague, was a person who lived life on his terms, always sharing his contagious smile and humor. He was always willing to step up to additional responsibility to help a colleague, friend or anyone that sought help. Much can be said about the warmth he spread with his witty comments and remarks during the lunch or tea conversations. It was never a dull moment when he was around. Sadly, Abhinav (41) passed away on 1 September 2023 at Columbia Asia (Manipal) Hospital, Bangalore due to a sudden cardiac arrest.

Abhinav was also a loving husband to Pooja and the role model to his 11-year-old daughter Kiya. He recently expanded his professional credentials and as always aspired to provide a brighter and better future for his family. He was the primary source of income for the family with his job at a software company in Bangalore.

All of us who knew him are rallying together to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family. We friends are trying to provide a bit of financial cushion while his family comes to terms with what has happened and can re-engage with life.

23, August 2023 - While spending time with his wife and daughter, collapsed to the ground. His speech was slurred, and his left side was paralyzed. He suffered a brain stroke. He was quickly admitted to Columbia Asia (Manipal) hospital in Bangalore.

30, August 2023 - Since the brain was hemorrhaging, Abhinav underwent a surgery to remove the pooled blood and repair the damaged blood vessels. The surgery was completed successfully. The medical staff monitored him in the Intensive Care Unit and updated the family on the progress. The doctors were optimistic based on the progress seen in Abhinav's charts and vitals.

While all were hopeful, the unthinkable happened on 1 September 2023. Abhinav suffered and succumbed to a cardiac arrest.
