Support and encouragement for Luke and George

Cynthia Jenkins, Grady Strickland, Roger St. Louis and Dian Sourelis are asking for your help to support Luke McCullough and George Weddington while Luke recovers from a recent medical emergency. On Sunday, February 12th, Luke collapsed in their home. Due to quick intervention, his life was saved, and he spent almost two weeks in the Cardiac ICU at Duke Hospital. He is making a slow but steady recovery.

There were no symptoms of what turned out to be a congenital condition known as Dilated Cardiomyopathy. It is a type of heart muscle disease that causes the heart chambers (ventricles) to thin and stretch, growing larger. While Luke is now, thankfully, out of the ICU, recovery will be slow and the outcome is not certain.

Funds raised will be used exclusively to help cover basic living expenses (mortgage, utilities, insurance, etc) while George and Luke navigate this medical emergency and plan next steps. Our community is a tight-knit one, and this couple is an important part of it. Let's help give them some space to focus on Luke's recovery with less worry.
