Support and celebration for Jose Castaneda

Greetings all,

 

First of all thank you for taking the time to stop by. Let me quickly introduce myself. My name is Lacy Romero. I am a Coworker and friend of Jose Castaneda. I had the pleasure of working alongside Jose both stateside and overseas.

 

I was requested by all his coworkers to put together something where we could all contribute to help his family during this difficult time. The funds will be directly given to his family to use in whatever means they need to help them process and move forward in this new chapter. To help ease any expected or unexpected financial burdens that might arise.

 

We are also here to not only help Jose's family, but to celebrate him as well.

 

Jose was a carefree soul who always just went with the flow and adapted to the situation as it presented itself. My favorite story is when Jose, myself and another coworker flew out to Italy to work on an aircraft. He failed to make sure his luggage would make the trip  all the way to Italy and we found ourselves in Italy wondering where his bags went. Come to find out it was sitting in Atlanta.

So we are driving around in Italy trying to find any place open that sells any kind of clothes for him. We lucked out and after a few hours of searching we found some basics.  He said he was prepared to turn it all inside out until his bag arrived. And we joked we were the lucky ones that it didn't come down to that. Luckily his bags were delivered pretty quickly and all was good.

He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to push buttons to keep you laughing.

 

I hope as these days move forward everyone gets the chance to help out and maybe share some fun memories for all his friends and family to enjoy.

 

Jose is survived by his wife Diana and their children.
