Support and Care for Will

Hi all! My name is ASH, and Im collecting funds for my friend Will here in West Philly for his 45th birthday to provide him with some life sustaining materials and care.

Will is a beautiful soul and friend that I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know in my neighborhood, and he needs help from the community. In 2018 Will had a seizure that left him in critical condition and is now living with a metal plate in his head after surgery from the event. He’s been struggling on the streets for years since this happened, and every day is a struggle for him physically and emotionally, as it is for many displaced native Black Philadelphians who are now homeless due to increasing gentrification. I hope that we as a community can show him some love and care on his birthday, because he deserves it and needs it greatly.

I've met with his mother and friends of his, and learned that for months he has been denied food stamps and other govt. aid which we are working on solidifying for him currently. Its taking a while to get through that process and coordinate with him and the offices, so we are asking folks to send funds to help him keep access to medicine, food, shelter, and anything else he may need to live and feel joy as well.
