To try and describe Brent, who he was to those who loved him, and the memories created in his 35 years would be an impossible feat. In the days since Sunday, 5/28, and in the days to come, we will try to achieve the impossible.
Many elements of his loss feel impossible, but some don't have to be:
- Giving Brent the dignity of a respectful and loving send off - a meaningful service and resting place he deserves.
- Giving his family the padding necessary to grieve and be together as any of us would want when losing a Husband, Brother, Son, Uncle, and Friend.
- Giving Brent's community a place to go visit him and give back what he gave to us effortlessly: Presence.
If you knew Brent, you know if it were up to him, he would have called you at least 5 times today already to make sure you weren't too bogged down by his loss, that you knew he thought you were doing great, and that he was there for you. Let's give his wife, twin brother, and others the same.
No amount is too small, anything is appreciated, and in the spirit of Brent, we are eternally grateful.
