Hi, I'm Anco Veiga, fundraising for History 078 - Environmental History class in Bali, Indonesia. My passion lies in environmental science, where I explore how nature shapes culture and societal values. As President of the ELAC Environmental Club, I've led projects like campus tree planting and partnerships with nonprofits such as Heal the Bay. I volunteer with College Corps, organizing beach clean-ups and climate change presentations. Last year, I participated in the PIER Program, researching environmental issues at UCLA. I'll be presenting on deforestation at the ELAC conference and have received outstanding recognition at Model UN conferences for biodiversity topics.
My goal is to use these experiences to create impactful environmental projects, and I'm excited to gain insights from Bali to expand this mission globally. Looking ahead, my intention is to synthesize these diverse experiences into impactful environmental projects aimed at mitigating the impacts of climate change. The opportunity to immerse myself in the environmental landscape of Indonesia promises cultural and environmental insights that will undoubtedly shape my future toward international collaboration for biodiversity and fostering connections and collaborations for environment initiatives worldwide. I deeply appreciate your help!:)
