I am a circus performer, Butoh dancer/teacher, and body worker, my life revolves around sharing the joy and artistry of movement with others.
Recently, I experienced a stilt walking accident that resulted in a serious injury, and I had a hip replacement surgery on July 20, 2026. Since the surgery I have have several complications. My Physical Therapy is being extended and my ability to return to work has also been extended far more than I originally expected. My workers comp adjuster thinks I will be out of work up to December, that seems so excessive to me, and I really do not know what the future holds. I am open to help myself in other ways, such as selling some of my costume and art pieces. If you are not able to donate and would like to help me create other ways to raise recovery funds please reach out to me, I can really use some help in that area, I do feel a bit overwhelmed.
At this time, I am seeking assistance to help cover my rent and bills while I focus on healing and regaining my strength.
The support from friends, family, and the community will make a tremendous difference as I navigate this challenging chapter.
Your generosity will allow me to concentrate on recovery without the added stress of financial uncertainty.
Workers comp is covering the hospital bills as the original injury happened because I stilt walked into a gopher hole during a wise fool event in the park! The sum is very small and comes only every 14 days. At this time I am living only on that and whatever this GoFundMe brings in, I will probably have to increase my ask, but am trying not to as much as possible.
There is a first time for everything! Hopefully it is the last time as well. It is my first serious stilt injury in 25 years of stilt antics!
I am honored by and greatly appreciate your love, friendship, and support during this healing time. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me closer to getting back on my feet and returning to the circus arts Butoh dance that I live for!
Thank you for being part of my journey. I have on my mental warrior armor and my my super hero cape in my backpack and am ready to tackle what comes with grace and humor as much as possible!
