Support for an ICU Nurse & Her 3 Children After Unthinkable Tragedy
Hi, my name is Iana, and I am reaching out to our community with a heavy heart to support my dear friend, Anastasiia Levchenko.
Anastasiia is an ICU nurse, someone who spends her life caring for others. But on the morning of February 2nd, 2026, she returned home from one of those shifts to a nightmare no one should ever have to face.
Upon arriving home, Anastasiia discovered her mother deceased. In the hours that followed, the unimaginable truth came to light: her mother had been killed by Anastasiia’s own husband (Jesus Palacio-Hernandez, 28,). He was arrested later that day and remains in custody.
In a single morning, Anastasiia’s world was shattered. She didn't just lose her mother—her rock and her support—she also lost her husband and the two primary caregivers who helped her raise her three beautiful children, ages 8, 6, and 3.
Why I am asking for your help:
Anastasiia is now a single mother of three, navigating a level of grief and trauma that is impossible to put into words. While she tries to pick up the pieces for her children, the reality of her situation is daunting:
Childcare: With her mother gone and her husband in custody, she has lost her entire childcare support system.
Living Expenses: As a frontline worker, she now faces the pressure of providing for a household of four on her own while dealing with legal and funeral costs.
Healing: She needs the time and space to grieve and be present for her children without the immediate fear of financial ruin.
Anastasiia has spent her career saving lives in the ICU. Now, it is our turn to be there for her.
Every dollar raised will go directly to Anastasiia to cover funeral arrangements for her mother, immediate childcare for her three kids, and basic living expenses as she navigates this legal and emotional journey.
If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this page. Let’s surround this brave nurse and her children with the love and support they so desperately need right now.
With gratitude, Iana
