On Thursday, June 26th, 2025, my cousin Anastasia was involved in a tragic accident that left her with severe injuries. She suffered a broken nose, fractured eye bone, a broken cervix, and a ruptured bladder. Anastasia is currently in a hospital in Omaha, far from her home in Grand Island, Nebraska. The distance from home has made this already challenging time even more difficult for her and her family.

Anastasia is the second oldest of Amanda and Juan’s eight daughters. She is unable to walk right now and will need to use a walker as she begins her long road to recovery. Her parents are by her side every day, supporting her through surgeries, treatments, and the emotional toll of this experience. The hospital bills are quickly adding up, and the family is facing significant financial strain as they focus on Anastasia’s care and rehabilitation.
