Support Ana's recovery after horrific accident

As many of you may know, and for those who don’t, Ana, a beloved member of the community and a dedicated teacher with over 22 years of service in Contra Costa and Pittsburg Adult Education, was involved in a horrific car accident on Highway 4 on October 15th while on her way to work. She is currently in the hospital with a broken spine in multiple places, broken hips, femur, knees, ankles, legs, feet, ribs, and two collapsed organs. Ana will be undergoing multiple surgeries starting today and faces a long recovery journey as she learns to walk again.

Ana has always been someone who never asks for support, but she is in desperate need now and would truly appreciate any help. Even just sharing this link would mean a lot. I will continue to update this page as more information becomes available on her condition.

Update: 10/17 Ana had surgery to repair her femur and went well. Today 10/18 she will have surgery on her spine today.

Update: 10/18 surgery went well on her spine, they put in hardware and stabilized it.
