This is the story of our Ana, a fighter, a mother, a light to everyone who knows her.
Our beloved Ana, has been courageously battling cancer for the past 4 years. Ana is a vibrant, deeply kind, and endlessly positive 47-year-old wife and mother who lives in Curitiba, Brazil, with her loving husband and her two beautiful 10-year-old twin daughters.
What began as colon cancer sadly spread to other areas of her abdomen over the years, including parts of her intestines, pancreas and peritoneum, making her treatment and recovery journey even more complex and challenging. Throughout this difficult battle, Ana has undergone chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, surgeries, hospital stays, and emotional challenges with extraordinary faith, strength, and grace.
Earlier this year, in February, Ana underwent an extremely complex surgery that lasted over 10 hours. Following the procedure, she faced serious complications and spent nearly two months in the ICU fighting for her life and recovery. There were many moments of uncertainty that were incredibly difficult for our entire family.
By the grace of God, Ana is finally back home with her husband and daughters, slowly recovering. Some days are better than others, but she continues to face this battle with courage, faith, gratitude, and hope despite everything she has endured.
Ana is truly one of the kindest and most loving people anyone could ever know. Even while facing so much pain herself, she continues strong, thinking of others, smiling through difficult moments, and holding tightly onto hope. To know Ana is truly to love her. Her strength, warmth, and beautiful spirit have touched the lives of so many people.
Unfortunately, the next phase of Ana’s treatment, recovery care, therapies, specialized support, medications, and ongoing medical needs brings a very significant financial burden for the family.
More than anything, we want to help give Ana peace of mind so she can focus on healing, spending precious time with her family, and continuing this fight without the constant stress of overwhelming medical expenses.
