Hello, my name is Anakin. I’m a 21-year-old mexican artist from Chicago, IL/Toledo, OH who was in the process of relocating to Texas. I have an apartment and job already lined up in San Antonio, as well as my long distance boyfriend, Alex. However, my mother– on Thursday, May 22nd– kicked out both my 19 year old sister and I. Things got escalated despite numerous attempts for them not to be, which resulted in my sister (Emily) and I being arrested. I’d hate to leave without fully knowing my sister is taken care of and obviously when we have retrieved our belongings.

I’ve been kicked out before and have generally been prepared tor this scenario since early 2022, as well as trying to prepare for the off chance it may happen to Emily. Which to no surprise, here we are. We are also still awaiting our trial which is June 26, having been postponed on account of my mother not showing up.

I’m hoping we can get two of our cats out as well since both my sister and I have been financially responsible for all 5 pets we had, not including a corn-snake, Hancock. On top of having an agreement to take one (Jackson, a black tabby) with me to Texas prior to this whole situation.

Since the start of all this, I’ve been having to dip into my savings– initially for the move– in order to pay bills and expenses that I didn’t have to worry about until now. I know both my sister and I will need more help financially to which any little bit helps!
