Support Anaiyah's STEM Dream at Spelman

Hi! My name is Anaiyah Harris, I’m 17 years old and I recently found out that I got into the program of my dreams at Spelman College. It’s a summer early college readiness program that focuses on Black women in STEM and gives an opportunity to reside, study, and learn in an enriching environment on campus for four weeks.
This program costs $4,400 and I am raising $6,000 to cover the program and traveling expenses. I have to pay for the program in full by May 9, 2025. Your support, no matter how small, will directly help me accomplish my goal of attending this program and further prepare me for my goal of becoming an Emergency Physician. I look forward to sharing updates along this journey and thank you in advance for contributing to this process!
To share a little bit about this journey, below is an excerpt of the essay I wrote for acceptance into the program:
“ My drive was created out-of-spite from noticing the lack of Black physicians, especially women. I know how crucial it is for young people to see themselves in these respectable positions as it reaffirms the achievability of their life's goals. HBCUs offer the future I envision for myself, aligning with the goal of becoming an inspiration for the next generation of black leaders as Doc McStuffins was to me. Unique experiences like this one will not only benefit my career, but also create pathways to an inclusive society where individuals are treated equally no matter their racial or gender background”
