Support Anabel Vallejo's Cancer Battle

Mi nombre es Mercedes Tapia y mi familia se vio afectada a fines del año pasado por la tragedia cuando a mi hija menor, Anabel Vallejo, le diagnosticaron cáncer de colon en etapa 4. Estaba experimentando un dolor insoportable y la llevaron a cirugía de emergencia y estábamos en riesgo de perderla. Doy gracias a Dios todos los días porque ella se recuperó, pero fue una situación difícil por un tiempo. Durante los últimos 10 meses hemos estado sobrellevando el tratamiento y el proceso de recuperación de Anabel. Es una joven muy animada con mucha vida por delante y estamos seguros de que lo superará como ha superado todos los demás obstáculos de su vida.

El verano pasado, Anabel se mudó de Pensilvania a Nueva York para estar más cerca de nosotros porque ya se sentía enferma. Consiguió su propio apartamento, coche y nuevo empleo. Lamentablemente en octubre nuestra vida dio un vuelco cuando recibimos su diagnóstico de cáncer, Anabel no podía seguir trabajando, no podía conducir y por lo tanto no podía seguir pagando el alquiler.

Hemos estado llegando a fin durante los últimos meses, pero ahora las cosas se han vuelto un poco más difíciles, estamos pidiendo a nuestros amigos cercanos y a todos los que los rodean que nos ayuden a cubrir el alquiler de mi hija y los gastos de recuperación. ¡Todo cuenta! Siempre se agradece su apoyo continuo, estamos muy agradecidos de tener el mayor sistema de apoyo durante estos tiempos. Dios los bendiga a todos.

My name is Mercedes Tapia and my family was struck late last year with tragedy when my youngest daughter, Anabel Vallejo, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. She was experiencing unbearable pain and was taken into emergency surgery and we were at risk of losing her. I thank God everyday she pulled through but it was touch and go for a while. For the past 10 months we have been coping with Anabel's treatment and recovery process. She is such a lively young woman with so much life ahead of her and we're sure she'll beat this as she's beat every other obstacle in her life.

Last summer, Anabel moved from Pennsylvania to NY to be closer to us as she was already feeling sick. She got her own apartment, car and new employment. Unfortunately in October our life was upended when we received her cancer diagnosis, Anabel could not continue working, she couldn't drive and therefore she was unable to continue to pay her rent.

We've been making ends meet for the past few months but now things have become a bit more difficult, we're asking for our closed friends and anyone around them to help us cover my daughter's rent and recovery expenses.
