Support Ana Villarreal’s Post-Op Recovery and Family Care

Hello, my name is Mike Villarreal, and I am reaching out to our community for support during a challenging time for my family. My incredible wife, Ana Villarreal, has been in the hospital since August 10, with her anticipated colorectal surgery scheduled for sometime this week (hopefully by Wednesday, August 21). If all goes as planned, Ana will spend a few days recovering in the hospital before she can finally come home to continue her healing journey. Ana is the strongest person I know, always full of optimism, positivity, and boundless love for our four children: Ava, a senior at IDEA Brownsville, Mya in 7th grade, Fey in 5th grade, and Ian in 4th grade.

Our Situation:

Our kids just started the new school year, but unfortunately, due to Ana’s extended hospital stay and upcoming surgery, she hasn’t been able to be there for them as she usually is. I have used up all of my available time off from work, and I will need to remain at home for at least the next four weeks to care for Ana and our children as she heals.
