Help My Friend Rebuild After Devastating House Fire

Hi, my name is Maribel Pineda, and I’m starting this GoFundMe for a dear friend of mine, Ana Rodriguez, who is going through an unimaginable loss.

Last night at around 2 AM, a devastating fire tore through their home in Wharton, New Jersey, destroying everything they owned. In just a matter of minutes, a lifetime of memories, cherished belongings, and the place they called home was reduced to ashes. The most heartbreaking part is that they tragically lost their beloved cat, Chowder, in the fire—a member of their family who brought comfort and companionship every day ☹

Thankfully, Ana and her family made it out safely, but they are now faced with the overwhelming challenge of starting from scratch. They left with only the clothes on their backs and are currently displaced, trying to figure out their next steps while coping with the trauma of such a sudden and profound loss.

We are fundraising to help Ana and her family rebuild their lives after this devastating fire.

known Ana Ligia Rodriguez for over 10 years—she’s been a trusted and kind presence in our home, helping with cleaning and other household tasks, and is now my good friend. When I learned that Ana and her family had lost their home in a devastating fire, which also tragically claimed the life of their beloved pet, I was heartbroken. My husband and I immediately offered them shelter in our home and provided some financial support. However, we quickly realized that that wouldn’t be nearly enough to help them rebuild their lives.

That’s why I started this fundraiser—to give Ana and her family the support they truly

need during this incredibly difficult time.

found a new place to live, but it’s completely unfurnished. The funds raised will be used to help her furnish her new home and replace essential items lost in the fire. My plan is

to transfer the donations to my bank account.
