Support an unhoused veteran in medical crisis

Hi, my name is Jessica and I am the only child of David Haralson, a veteran facing a series of medical crisis points as well as being unhoused.

David (I'll call him Dad from here on out) has had lingering issues from a knee replacement that did not go well in 2022 which is compounded by an abdominal aortic aneurysm that he was diagnosed with in early January.

Although the VA is covering the lion's share of Dad's medical expenses, this is complicated by dad facing homelessness. As you might imagine, being unhoused is stressful and scary even under the most ideal of circumstances - and these circumstances are not ideal.

Dad's goals are to fully recover medically and figure out a housing situation through the VA - however this takes time, as you might imagine. He loves sportfishing and the ocean and would like to return to work in the oil fields when he is fully capable and has recovered. If you know my dad, you know that he is an incredibly hard worker no matter the circumstances and not being able to work right now is crushing to him.

Your donation would go towards Dad's incidental medical expenses and immediate, short -term housing needs near the hospital so that he can focus on his medical recovery.
