Support an international student's research journey

Hi friends,

My lab mate Maria is a visiting PhD candidate from Brazil. She was receiving funding from her country to support her time in the US, but they have run out & she is now is in need of additional financial support to finish out her research activities here. We are planning to attend a conference with our PI during the first week of August where Maria will present her research, after which she will return to Brazil. We would really like to get Maria some funds at this time, and I hope that anyone reading this will consider making a donation, no matter how big or small. I believe we Americans have a duty to uphold our international students in whatever way we can.
