I’m so glad you’ve found yourself here. I apologize I’m asking for help. However, while you’re here, you should about who I am and what the fundraiser is about.

I started my buisness in painting and tattooing in 2016. I was working alongside the military people of the Fort Drum area in Watertown NY. I had the best mentor ever. The man, Andrew, was so patient and gracious. He answered all my questions. I was probably too excited to learn and paint and so he taught me everything he could. About people skills in tattooing, tattoo history, differences in style, techniques, and business. After working for this nice guy, I travelled around the country to Idaho, Washington, California, Colorado, Tennessee, and Georgia. It was amazing! I had never been out of my small New York/New England area. I got to talk to so many different kinds of people and see the landscapes of America. For someone with immigrant parents, it was wonderful and brave to travel around.

After years of travelling the country and settling for a year or 2 or 3, being in different studio spaces, I realized that it would be so special to have a small little studio to do my business from.
About last year (January 2024), I got my studio in historic Troy, NY, and spent months doing construction on the floor, painting, decorating, filling paperwork, etc.. I was doing quite well after opening in late June, and then sometime around October/November, I came into a slump. It’s been months of slump. I’m not sure if it was because of the politics of the country or the chaos and instability in the environment of our lives, however I have been holding onto my little ship in this ocean of emotions. I’m hanging on now, hoping for the best. Maybe the tides will shift and my tables will turn. Maybe with some help and more time, I can thrive again and be proud as the daughter of an immigrant family who is a business owner.

I love making artworks based off of nature and women’s stories. Fine detailed is my favorite, featuring pearls, plants, antiques, and landscapes.

I hope my story finds you and calls for those who can help a little to help with this dream. Thank you for reading :) Have a lovely day.
