There's nothing so devastating as the diagnosis of Cancer, especially when just checking with the doctor about some back pain.

This is what has happened to our dear friend Carie-Ann Lofeudo. Her recent diagnosis of leukemia has been life-changing for her, her family and her friends.

Carie-Ann a vibrant member of our community, is in the fight for her life at Vancouver General Hospital. Her stay could be 6 months or longer, depending on her response to treatment. She works hard as a lab assistant, dedicating her working life to helping others at RJH and CDH.

Carie-Ann has had a recent setback which has landed her in ICU, her partner Brian by her side.

The last thing they need is the financial strain this disease is putting on their lives. Not being able to work should not be a concern for them at this time.

We live in an amazing community that comes together when support is needed.
