My name is William Smallwood, I come here today to ask for prayers and also for assistance if anyone finds it possible in their heart. My dad who is an Air Force veteran and probably the most giving person I have ever met was given 6-12 months to live a few months ago. He is not ready to throw in the towel and wants to keep fighting even after having 7 heart attacks, 25-30 strokes, 2 pacemakers, 2 open heart surgeries, 24 heart stints, PFO patch in his heart, and much much more. He wants many more experiences with his 4 year old grandson, my mom and so many others. He is beginning the process of testing at the Cleveland Clinic for a possible LVAD(Left Ventricular Assist Device) this will require a 3rd open heart surgery. The VA will not pay for any of the testing, pre-procedure, the travel or the housing that will be required for my mother during all

of this. This will require multiple trips from KY to Cleveland(6ish hours one way) and many nights for my mom in a hotel as well as food etc. I would like to help them have a little less stress during all of this and take care of some of the money that will be required for all the expenses. This procedure is genuinely life or death for my father and if he is willing to fight, I will continue to fight with him and this is one thing I can do to help him and mom. Thank you and god bless.

PS- Dad does not smoke, drink, has good cholesterol, blood pressure, and is not overweight this is a service based, genetic heart disease.
