My friend Amy lives in Altadena. She is one of the 'lucky ones' whose house survived the fires, but now she faces the daunting task of having her landlord clean out her home and the determine what is safe & what must be removed. Those fires burned asbestos, chemicals, plastics and set off a lot of toxic fumes which basically poisoned anything it didn't burn.

Amy is one of the most generous and caring people I have ever known. Her love for animals probably rivals that of Dr. Jane Goodall. She has 2 rescue dogs (a mom & son), a kitty named Jaspurr and Amy is constantly giving back to organizations like Los Angeles Bat Rescue and the Marine Mammal Care Center in Los Angeles.

I wanted to start this GoFundMe to give Amy some peace of mind that her home will be safe for herself and her menagerie of animal kiddos.
