Hi everyone,
My name is Amy and I’ve been given an incredible opportunity THIS summer, June 10th-24th, to travel to Santiago de Atitlán, Guatemala with my younger sister, Peyton. We will be serving at Hands of Compassion (Manos de Compasión), a nonprofit orphanage that provides a safe, loving, and stable home for children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
This opportunity came through my uncle, Andrew Griffin, who helped make this trip possible for us, and I truly believe it was placed in my life for a reason.
During our time there, Peyton and I will be assisting house parents with daily care, spending intentional time with the children to build relationships and trust, and supporting the needs of the orphanage in any way we can. More than anything, we want these children to feel seen, loved, and secure. Most importantly we will have the opportunity to spread the love of God and be used as instruments of his peace to the children in these homes.
This trip is especially meaningful to me because I am currently studying at the University of Georgia to become a child advocacy attorney. My vocation in life is to serve and protect children, and my relationship with Jesus has shaped that calling in such a powerful way. I feel extremely blessed and undeserving to be able to live that out, and i know this will change my life forever.

I am currently working to raise $1,750 over the next 4–6 weeks to help cover the cost of flights, housing, and any other supplies I’ll need to help support the orphanage and children.
