Support Amy's Cancer Journey with Love

My sister, Amy Acker is a young, beautiful mother with two amazing sons, Griffin (18) and Cameron (12). She lives in Bainbridge, OH and has always brought love and laughter to everyone she knows. Amy was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in August of 2023. She followed her physician's treatment plan of chemotherapy, single mastectomy followed by radiation. She initially responded very well after finalizing this process and had a complete response showing no evidence of disease. We were all so grateful.

Unfortunately, October 2024 Amy began having symptoms of headaches, back pain, dizziness and nausea. She contacted her Oncologist and after test/scans it was discovered that her breast cancer had metastasized to her brain, spine and cerebrospinal fluid. A tumor was located on her cerebellum, Mets on her brain and spine and was diagnosed with leptomeningeal disease (cancer in cerebrospinal fluid).

After this diagnosis and the prognosis that comes along with it, Amy has been home from work focusing on building strength and quality of life. We would like to thank all of the friends, neighbors and family that have been so generous with their time helping, visiting and providing meals. It has made such a difference!

While Amy continues her journey of palliative care, we do not want her to worry about life's daily responsibilities as her priority is to stay strong and spend valuable time with loved ones.
