Support Amy's Journey to Beat Breast Cancer

As some of you may already know, Amy just got a breast cancer diagnosis this week. The good news is that they seem to have caught it early. The less-good news is that she is likely to need to make a lot of trips to the hospital and doctors until she has this thing beat. She has a caring and wonderful partner in John, so he will be supporting her every step of the way during her treatment and recovery. He cannot, however, always be available to drive her to and from each appointment due to his work obligations and the volume of appointments she is anticipating.

Amy does not drive, so to help her out and ease her stress over transportation-related costs, I've set up this fundraiser to give her a slush fund to cover the costs associated with Uber rides from her home in North Raleigh into town for her doctor and hospital visits, as well as other transportation expenses and unexpected medical costs. John plans to drive her as often as he can, but knowing she cannot drive and that she will need to get to these appointments is a source of anxiety at a time when Amy really does not need anything else on her plate.

Rather than having her worried about the costs of paying for her medical transportation or attempting to sort out rides with friends who are likely busy themselves during the day, she agrees that it would be better for her mental health and smooth recovery if she had a little money set aside to know she could grab an Uber when she needs to get to an appointment.
