Amy is a veteran elementary teacher who has dedicated her career to the betterment of her school’s community. As a passionate child advocate, she works tirelessly to improve the quality of life for every child she encounters, always striving to meet their unique needs. As a single mother of a neurodivergent child, Amy has fought hard to secure the medical and community services her son needs to thrive. Now, it is Amy’s turn to be encouraged and supported by the community she has served so selflessly.
Amy received a diagnosis involving several separate malignant melanomas. She is currently undergoing cancer screenings in other areas of her body to determine if other areas have been affected. Surgery has been scheduled the first week of March, although she is awaiting additional test results,. Amy is without short-term disability and sick days. Due to the 2-3 weeks recuperation period and she expects a time of significant income deficient.
This scenario is a mother’s nightmare. To have raised Amy from a precocious little girl and watched her become a courageous and valiant single parent on the verge of fulfilling her career aspirations, I am asking for your help to support Amy when she needs it most. She has given her best to so many over the years. Please help me show her how much she is loved and appreciated by donating to this fund.
These funds will lighten Amy’s financial burden and allow her to focus on the fight she has ahead of her. Your generosity will go directly toward:
-medical bills, lab test, and surgical procedures — not all covered by insurance
-hospital and out-patient expenses
-wound care and post-operative procedures
-adaptive needs and accommodations for daily living
-additional recovery needs, including living expenses
No one should ever have to endure what Amy is going through. But we can surround her with love, strength, and a community of support. Any contribution—large or small— would make a meaningful difference. If you’re not in a position to donate, please consider sharing this campaign or sending a message of support.
