Help Amy Fight Cancer with Courage, Grace, and Hope
There are some people in life who are like sunshine — steady, warm, and life-giving. My best friend Amy is one of those rare souls. For 36 years, she has been my friend, my sister in heart, my constant. And now, she needs our help.
In early January, Amy received the devastating news that she has breast cancer — just weeks after her mother received the same diagnosis. Two biopsies confirmed what we all feared. Still, Amy pressed forward with courage, undergoing a lumpectomy in February. We prayed it would be the end of this painful chapter. But it wasn’t.
Her doctors told her a mastectomy was necessary. So she bravely went through surgery once again, holding on to hope. She recovered well, but soon after, she got another call — the cancer is invasive. It has spread to the anterior margins. This means more treatment. More surgery. More unknowns.
Amy has always been a fighter — even before this. She worked two jobs to make ends meet, right up until her surgery. But now, she simply can’t work. And while she would never ask for help, I am asking for her.
To know Amy is to love her. She radiates kindness, humility, and grace. Her coworkers, friends, and the students whose lives she’s touched will tell you the same: Amy gives without hesitation, cares deeply, and lifts others even when she’s weary herself.

That’s why I’ve started this GoFundMe — to ease the financial burden that weighs on her shoulders so she can focus on what matters most: healing.
If you feel led, would you consider helping Amy? No gift is too small — every bit helps. And if you’re not in a place to give financially, please surround her in prayer. Pray for strength, for healing, and for the medical team who cares for her. Pray for peace that surpasses all understanding to cover her like a blanket.
We believe in a God who heals. We believe in community. And we believe in Amy’s beautiful, unwavering spirit.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for holding Amy close in your heart.
