Amy and Nathan have shared 28 years of marriage and raised three wonderful children together. Their journey has been filled with love, resilience, and unwavering support for one another. In 2015, Amy was first diagnosed with breast cancer. After enduring a year of surgeries, aggressive chemotherapy, and radiation, the family was hopeful that the worst was behind them. However, in March 2022, Amy received the devastating news that her cancer had returned as Stage 4 Non Curable Metastatic Breast Cancer. This meant her cancer had spread, and the only treatment available was daily chemotherapy, along with a variety of medications to manage the side effects. Every 90 days, Amy undergoes a full PET scan to monitor her condition. Despite these challenges, Amy’s spirit remains unbroken. She is known in her community as “Everybody’s Mama,” always putting others before herself and never letting her illness define her. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family, and she continues to care for her loved ones, neighbors, and friends every day. Amy rarely asks for help, choosing instead to focus on supporting those around her. Over the past three years, the Hays family has managed Amy’s condition privately, relying on each other for strength. Recently, their situation has become even more difficult. Nathan unexpectedly lost his job and their health insurance, leaving the family financially depleted as they struggle to keep up with the cost of Amy’s medications and mounting monthly bills. While Nathan is actively seeking new employment, the immediate need for financial support is urgent to ensure Amy can continue her life-saving treatment. Amy’s faith remains strong, and she often says, “God’s got me.” The family is grateful for prayers and encouragement, but right now, financial help is most pressing. Your support will help cover the cost of Amy’s medications and essential monthly bills, allowing her to focus on her health and her family. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to help the Hays family through this critical time. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in Amy’s fight against cancer.
